What are the adoption fees?
Puppies up to 6 months - $575 Adult Dogs - $500 Senior Dogs - $250 We do basic vetting for all of our dogs, this includes vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and spay/neuter. Some dogs need more intensive vetting with things such as dental or orthopedic procedures, there is no additional charge to you for a dog that may have needed additional procedures to become healthy and available for adoption. Puppies will typically only receive one set (out of three) of vaccinations as that coincides with their age and being in our program. Puppy adopters can expect to continue with the 2nd and/or 3rd vaccine set for their puppy at their own vet clinic at thier own cost.
Adoption Process
We are excited to help you find a great addition to your family and we understand you are excited too! Remember that adopting a dog is a serious commitment to make. Be sure you are currently in a space to accept a new family member into your world. View the dogs currently available for adoption on our Facebook Page: 'PRAIRIE PITS' Simply reach out to our adoption team by sending a Facebook message. You will be given instructions and asked questions about your interest in adopting and a day and time to meet the dog will be arranged. We will be arranging a meeting for your family to meet the dog within 48 hours of your request so please ensure your schedule will be open for a trip to Lethbridge. RENTERS: Ensure your landlord has given you permission to add a dog to your home. Getting this permission in writting is the best course of action so there are no surprises after the fact. Many landloreds or condo boards may have specific requirements for your new dog, such as falling within certain weight or height restrictions, be sure these are clear to you and that you make them clear to our adopiton team.
